Ramen Kingdom (“the game”, “we”, “us”) is a mobile cooking game published by the Ramen Kingdom shop (Prins Hendrikkade 83H, Amsterdam). This policy explains what data the game handles and why. We keep it minimal on purpose.
Summary
- We do not ask for your real name, email, phone number, or location.
- We do not show ads.
- We do not sell your data or use third-party advertising/tracking.
- The only information that leaves your device is a nickname you choose and your game results, used to show a shared leaderboard.
What we collect and why
| Data | What it is | Why | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Anonymous ID | A random ID created by Firebase Authentication for your device. Not linked to your real identity. | To keep your scores and gifts attached to your install. | Google Firebase |
| Chef name | The nickname you type when you start playing. | Shown next to your scores on the public Fame of Fortune leaderboard. | Google Firebase |
| Game results | Day reached, money earned, bowls served, and a timestamp. | To build the leaderboard and unlock gift milestones. | Google Firebase |
| Push token | An anonymous messaging token from Firebase Cloud Messaging. | Only if you allow notifications, to send occasional game news. | Google Firebase |
| On-device data | Your nickname and recent scores cached locally. | So the game works offline. | Stays on your device |
We do not collect: real names, email, phone numbers, contacts, precise or approximate location, photos, payment information, or advertising identifiers. The camera is used only in the optional staff redemption screen to scan a gift QR code; no images are stored or transmitted.
Who processes the data
We use Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Messaging, App Check) to store scores and run the leaderboard. Google processes this data on our behalf as a service provider. See Google’s privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. We do not share data with any other third parties.
User-chosen nicknames
Nicknames are screened by an automated profanity/abuse filter (English, Dutch, Japanese) before they can appear on the leaderboard. If a nickname slips through that you find offensive, contact us at the address below and we will remove it.
Children
The game is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children. Because sign-in is anonymous and no real-world identifiers are requested, we do not collect personal data as defined by GDPR or COPPA.
Data retention and deletion
Scores and your anonymous profile remain until you ask us to remove them. To request deletion of your nickname and scores, email us with the nickname you used and we will delete the associated records.
Security
All data in transit is encrypted over HTTPS. Writes are protected by Firebase Security Rules and Firebase App Check, which verifies requests come from the genuine app.
Changes
We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date will change accordingly.
